Once again we will be running a bus to ‘Heart & Soul’ on Sunday 18 May. This is an afternoon event run in Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh to mark the start of the General Assembly. It is billed as ‘A Celebration for the Whole Church’.
This year’s theme is ‘Hands Across the World’ and it aims to celebrate the life of the church through the lens of its international heritage, relationships and partners. Put the date in your diary, come along and find out more!
This will be the fourth year that we have taken a group to this excellent event and it really is a day not to be missed. There are always a large variety of events, exhibitions, stalls and activities including worship, drama, comedy, seminars, singing, storytelling, bands and picnic areas – plenty for everyone including young people and children.
The bus will leave after the morning service on that day and depart from Edinburgh around 6 pm. The event is free, so the only charge will be £10 for the bus. Last year we had groups from Mansefield Trinity, Dalry and Beith that came with us – we hope it will be the same this year. If you would like to join us on the day, please let me know – J Grier.
