Every year, the Moderator of The General Assembly hosts a Moderator’s challenge. This year the Right Rev Shaw Patterson’s challenge is called ‘Let Your Little Light Shine’. Dr Patterson hopes to raise funds to provide ‘light libraries’ in schools and colleges in Malawi. There will be a meeting of the Kirk Session in the Church, after the service on Sunday 16th February to agree the Church accounts for 2024.

We are looking to recruit a Caretaker/Cleaner for the Abbey and Lesser Halls. This is a paid, part-time post of approximately 6 hours per week, worked over two days. A copy of the advert for the position is available in the vestibule and it will also be posted on our Facebook page and Website. More details can be obtained from Cathy Burns or Derek Mathieson.

The Presbytery Learning Community meetings were postponed last year and will now commence at the end of February. This group has been set up to help Churches learn from one another and is extremely valuable. If you would like to be a part of this, or would like more information, please speak to Isobel.

Due to the aftermath of Storm Eowyn and damage done to our telephone lines, we are currently unable to live stream our services.

 We will provide an update as soon as we know when we will be able to live stream again.

The Kirk Session meets on Thursday 16th Jan. 7pm in the Lesser Hall.

There is a meeting of the Development Group on Wednesday 15th Jan. at 7pm in the Vestry.

The Guild meet this Wednesday, 22nd, at 1.30pm in the Abbey Hall. There is a change to the syllabus – the speaker this week will be Allison McCall and her subject is Thailand and New Zealand travels. All welcome.
